On this page you will find examples of the RSCDS in the media. Please be aware that this is an "online press book" of various articles and publications, and that we do not own the rights to any of the publications mentioned below. 

We love to see the RSCDS in the media and invite members and the public to submit articles, publications, videos, etc. that you have come across for inclusion on this page. Please send all material to info@rscds.org. For Branches, please note that this page is not intended for Branch newsletters; however, if a Branch has appeared in the media, whether in print or on television, we would love to see it and have a copy.

If you would like any material on this page taken down, please contact the RSCDS office using the email address above and the request will be dealt with promptly.

Examples of RSCDS in the press

In October 2019, The Tay Dancers in Angus shared their love of Scottish country dancing through a feature and video in The Courier.

Dancers from the Aberdeen Branch featured in the Sunday Post on 3 January 2020, having provided dancing lessons to comedian Susan Calman at the Queen's Ballroom in the Balmoral.

Taken from the 12 March, 2015 issue of the Helensburgh Advertiser. Pupils from across the area enjoyed a great day of dancing put together by the Helensburgh & District Branch. Thank you to all those who helped to organise the event, and of course to those who took part!

Taken from the 11 November, 2014 issue of the Kilmarnock Standard. A great spread of a Children's Day of Dance that was assisted by the North Ayrshire Branch. Thank you to all those who helped to organise the event, and of course to those who took part! 

Viewers in the UK may have seen trailers for a new BBC4 TV series titled "Dancing Cheek to Cheek: An Intimate History of Dance", which aired on 17 November, The second programme of the series, which aired on 24 November, featured Scottish Country Dancing with presenters Lucy Worsley and Len Goodman joining in with members of the RSCDS London Branch!
