Edinburgh Branch mark 100 years

Edinburgh Branch

Members and friends of RSCDS Edinburgh Branch were delighted to be guests of our Honorary President, The Provost of Edinburgh in the City Chambers.

The evening marked the contribution of the Edinburgh Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society to the cultural life of Edinburgh over the past 100 years. The Lord Provost was delighted to meet and chat with so many of our members and remarked upon the vast number of activities over many years; demonstrations welcoming Kings, Queens, and many distinguished guests to the city, showcasing Edinburgh and Scottish country dancing abroad and, more recently, helping local schools to introduce dancing to the classroom.

We were thrilled to be able to take this opportunity to raise a toast to our new Royal Patron, His Majesty King Charles III.
