RSCDS Centenary Open Day
March 6, 2023
RSCDS members are invited to join us at 12 Coates Crescent on Saturday 25th March 2023 for our Centenary Open Day.
Doors will be open between 11am and 2.30pm where you can listen to the crackling sounds of original records on Jean Milligan’s own record player as you wander through our iconic office to admire an impressive collection of objects archived throughout the 100 years of the Society.
Books, photographs, sheet music and other personal items donated by members and branches throughout the years will be on display. Learn about the Society’s history from our new Royal Connection banners with an opportunity to talk to Society Archivist Alan Macpherson, who will happily answer any questions during the event.
Find out more about the current work and future plans of the Society and how you can get involved by becoming a Friend of the RSCDS.
The Society's shop will also be open, where you can browse the latest RSCDS products, including the new Dance Through the Decades CD, publications and clothing, together with our new Centenary merchandise.
Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available.
Whether you are attending the Centenary Ball or just visiting Edinburgh, come along and your share memories of the Society with old and new friends.
Please register your interest and let us know if you plan to attend.
