Hamilton & Clydesdale

Branch profile

The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, Hamilton and Clydesdale Branch was founded in 1935. It is one of 170 worldwide dedicated to promote Scottish Country dancing. The name Hamilton and Clydesdale Branch did not appear until 1948 to indicate the wide area it now serves, including Larkhall, Wishaw, Biggar, Strathaven, Bothwellhaugh, Chapelton and Dalserf.

Scottish Country Dancing is a great way of getting fit, making friends and above all having fun.

Our Branch Class is held in Hamilton Guide Hall, Orchard Street, Hamilton ML3 6PB, every Thursday 7.30pm to 9.30pm. New members and visitors are always welcome.

We also organize various dances and other social events throughout the year. If you are interested in joining one of our classes or attending one of our events then information can be found on our website.
