Founded in 1988, Kansai White Heather Dancers is a welcoming Scottish Country Dance group based in the Kansai region of Japan. The name “White Heather” comes from the rare white variety of the heather flower — a symbol of good luck, much like a four-leaf clover.
🌿 About Us:
KWHD is affiliated with the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) and welcomes dancers of all levels. Our classes are mixed-level, making them accessible for beginners while still engaging for experienced dancers. Regular attendance ranges from 15 to 30 people.
