2023-24 season : General Classes restart on Thursday 5th October, 2023.
Beginners** and returners** are most welcome to join our General Class from 5th October onward. Please contact us by email via this page if you are interested.

**If there is sufficient interest/numbers, we may be able to run a separate series of additional classes for new dancers in autumn 2023, so please let us know if you are interested in these, and we will add you to a list. Otherwise, we will do our best to integrate you into the general class.
**There is also a nearby half-day workshop and mini-dance we can send you to at the end of November, especially for Beginners and Improvers. Great fun, very useful; meet others who are just starting Scottish Country Dancing.

All classes start at 7.30pm prompt. Please arrive beforehand in good time to change into your dancing shoes. Hand sanitiser is provided.

Autumn Term finishes on Thursday 21st December 2023. This will be a party dance for Branch members, regular visiting dancers, and invited guests only. Not that we wouldn't love to see you all there, but dance space in our wee hall is limited.

Spring Term classes begin on Thursday, TBA January, 2024, and run until Thursday 30th May, 2024, which will also be an end-of-year party dance for Branch members, regular visitors, and invited guests. Depending on when the Easter holiday falls, we may have a one-week break (or not).

In June, July and August there will be one class each month, to prepare members for the August series of Moffat Summer Dances.

We started these twice-yearly dances in 2012, in order to introduce all our beginners and newer dancers to the social dancing side of SCD, with the opportunity to meet dancers from other SCD groups and to become part of the wider SCD community. Our dances provide a relaxed and enjoyable evening, with great live bands, a straightforward programme, and a fantastic bring and share buffet supper.
Live music, dancing, and food : what more could you want ?
