St Andrews Scottish Dance Group, Canterbury

Group profile

The St Andrew’s Scottish Country Dance Group was formed in Canterbury in 1963, the name coming from the church hall where the Group first met. Since its formation, the Group has continued to flourish with classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers every Friday evening and occasional public dances on a Saturday. Our current venue is Canterbury College in New Dover Road, Canterbury CT1 3AJ with public dances held in Littlebourne Village Hall. Membership is made up of about 45 dancers with class attendances of up to 32 every Friday evening. We have an experienced teacher who also teaches at a nearby group in Thanet.
Up-to-date details of the Group and its activities can be found on the website of the Kent Association of Scottish Societies (www.kass.org.uk).
