Giving in Memory
Dance and music can help us remember special moments of time in our lives and those that have been with us on our journey through life. Giving to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society is a meaningful way to remember someone who has passed away and to celebrate their life. It can also be a positive way for family and friends to come together at a very difficult time, while supporting the work of RSCDS to bring all the benefits of Scottish Country Dancing to wider audiences and new generations.
We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences if you have lost someone close to you. We hope that it brings you some comfort to know that all the donations we receive in memory of your loved one will help us to bring the joy of Scottish music and dance to more people.
If you would like to make a gift in memory, you can email info@rscds.org or call +44 (0)131 243 0767. All gifts in memory will be entered into our Book of Remembrance kept at our Head Office in Edinburgh. We will send you a record of the entry and we will keep you updated on the difference your gift in memory has made to us.
Funeral collections
You may wish to offer friends and family the option of giving a donation to charity at your loved one’s funeral or memorial service. Your funeral director can help arrange this for you, or you can send the donations directly to RSCDS by cheque, bank transfer or via an online tribute fund (See below for details).

Tribute funds
A fundraising page is an easy way to collect donations in memory of a loved one. It also allows you to create an online space where friends and family can share memories. You can do this with MuchLoved by setting up a tribute page to RSCDS or through JustGiving – simply search for the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society when selecting your charity and all of the money raised will be sent directly to us.

Make a gift in celebration
A gift to the RSCDS is also a unique way to celebrate a special moment in a friend or loved one's life, such as a birthday, a wedding or anniversary.
To make a donation in celebration, you can you can email info@rscds.org or call +44 (0)131 243 0767. If you would like to get friends and family involved, set up a fundraising page with JustGiving and share on social media.
All celebration gifts will be listed on our website, including the celebration, your name and the name of the person you wish to celebrate with. You can request not to be listed.
