So, you want to volunteer
Maybe joining the Management Board or a Committee is not for you, however we do sometimes have other volunteering opportunities available. These might include helping out with:
- Our members' magazine Scottish Country Dancer
- RSCDS-run events
- The RSCDS Archive project
- Support in the office at 12 Coates Crescent
How do I volunteer?
You don't always need to be a member of the RSCDS, however we would encourage you to join. Register your interest and share your area(s) of expertise (please be aware that by filling in the below form you agree to the RSCDS keeping your details on file should we wish to contact you regarding any future opportunities).
Current vacancies
In order to apply for any vacancies listed below, you must first be a member of the RSCDS (either an HQ member or RSCDS Branch member). Please click on the drop down arrows to read more about each position.
The Scottish Schools Working Group (SSWG) needs your help!
The SSWG was originally set up to promote and encourage more school pupils in Scotland to Dance Scottish.
We are appealing for volunteers who would be able to provide Scottish country dance teaching support to a geographical area, however big or small, in order to respond to requests from local primary or secondary schools, and/or Active Schools Coordinators.
As a result of our connections with Sport Scotland, who are responsible for Active Schools Coordinators, and from interest generated by teachers and students who visited our stand at the recent 2022 Scottish Education Expo, sadly we now find ourselves without enough volunteers to respond to requests.
We would really appreciate if any Branch teacher or member, would be willing to join the volunteer SSWG teacher list so that the RSCDS can achieve our strategic aim of promoting and developing Scottish country dancing in Scotland and worldwide for present and future generations.
Please click the 'Register Your Interest' link or alternatively you can send a direct email to the SSWG Chair, Lorna Valentine, at sswg@rscds.org
