Dunedin Dancers

Group profile

The dances are chosen and called by a different member of our group each week. Visitors are very welcome, although if you attend regularly we would appreciate it if you become a member to support the administration of Dunedin; each evening only costs £5.
Dunedin Mondays - Fast and Furious
Monday evenings, 7:30-9:30 in St Columba's by the Castle Episcopal Church (blue door), 14 Johnstone Terrace, EH1 2PW

For advanced dancers looking for a challenge, both physically and mentally. You should be an experienced dancer, reasonably fit and willing and capable to dance an evening including dances which may be unfamiliar and/or require you to move and think fast.

If you think you may struggle to keep up we suggest our Wednesday evening instead.

Dunedin Wednesdays - Light and Relaxed
Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:30 in St Matthew Hall, Morningside Parish Church Hall, 2 Cluny Gardens, EH10 6BQ

For any dancer with a reasonable grasp of the basics of Scottish Country Dancing, this is informal social dancing which includes a varied selection of dances chosen by the caller on the night, most of which should be familiar. We dance to live music from one of our regular musicians playing accordion every second week; on the other evenings we dance to recorded music.

Address: Morningside Parish Church, 2 Cluny Gardens, Edinburgh EH10 6BQ, United Kingdom
Schedule: we meet 7.30-9.30pm in term time for informal social dancing led by a different group member every night.
Offers: Demonstration team, dancing evening/Live event, Workshops, International Folk Dance Festival every two years.
