Newark Scottish Country Dance Society
Founded in 1971, they are a friendly group offering weekly Scottish country dance classes:
Monday afternoons: 2:00–3:45 pm at the Methodist Centre, Bingham NG13 8AD (except the second Monday of each month, which is at the Thomas Cranmer Centre, Aslockton NG13 9AL).
Tuesday evenings: 7:30–9:45 pm at the Bridge Community Centre, Lincoln Road, Newark NG24 2DQ.
Each September, they welcome beginners with dedicated classes, supported by experienced dancers. No partner is required, and dancers rotate partners throughout the evening. The cost is £25 per term or £3 per session for occasional dancers
