Branch profile

The Nova Scotia branch includes Scottish country dance groups in Nova Scotia and a group in Prince Edward Island. Dance groups have weekly classes from the Fall through the Spring.
The Valley Scottish County dancers have advanced classes on the last Saturday of each month, mostly in the summer.
We have an Advanced Class once a month on a Friday afternoon from September to May. We have a workshop each November, with beginners and intermediate/advanced classes and an afternoon social with live music. Each year, usually in May, we have a Branch-wide Tea Dance.

Check our website for details and contact information for the separate dance groups.

In 2017 we were excited to publish the booklet Spark O' Water of locally devised dances, with a companion CD by Keith Smith and Muriel Johnstone.

In 2027 (our 45th Anniversary), we plan to have special events with live music.

More information and other details can be found on our website.
