Join the global event!

Dance Around the World on Saturday 23rd November will mark one year since the RSCDS Centenary and on this day we want to fill the internet with photos, videos and stories of Scottish dancing (#DanceScottish). From early posts in New Zealand to the final posts of dancers in Hawaii, whether you’re dancing in your kitchen, joining with others in your garden or attending a large social gathering, we’d love to see you joining in this global event.

Hopefully those Branches who already have dances planned for this date can include some from this world-wide selection. The dance choices highlight some old favourites, revisit previous publications, include basic RSCDS formations and give a good mix that newer dancers can also enjoy.

Dance Around The World CD

Taking dancers on a journey from Scotland around the world and back, the  new RSCDS album recorded by Colin Dewar Scottish Dance Band features 16 tracks with connections to six continents through devisers, themes and locations, before bringing everyone together with The Homecoming Dance.
