Friends of The RSCDS

“Fun, Fitness and Friendship”

As a valued member of the RSCDS, you can help your society by becoming a Friend, ensuring that we can expand our activities and bring the joy and value of Scottish country dancing to new and ever wider audiences.  Our Friends of the RSCDS regular giving scheme allows members to gain a better understanding of how fundraising helps us in our work and provides a way for them to support our ambitions for the future.

Why Regular Giving Makes a Difference

The RSCDS is a charity and as such, we depend on charitable support to be able to undertake all that we do to promote and preserve Scottish country dancing. By becoming a Friend of the RSCDS and choosing to give a regular monthly donation, you can help us plan ahead and to develop and expand our programmes of activity.

We run a wide range of programmes, activities and events and through our branches and affiliated groups we bring people of all ages and abilities together for fun, fitness and friendship, while learning Scottish country dancing. We provide opportunities for dancers to improve their skills through workshops and teaching and have various programmes to support and encourage young people to engage in dance. We offer a range of courses and learning materials for those who wish to teach and provide music resources, run programmes for musicians, undertake research and provide a wealth of information about Scottish country dancing and music through web-based content and social media.

Become a Friend Today

You can become a Friend of the RSCDS today by committing to make a regular monthly donation.  The Friends of the RSCDS is open to members around the World, all that we ask is that you consider making a monthly donation of £5 or more each month or an annual donation of £60 or more (or the equivalent in your home nation currency), but any donation amount on a monthly/annual basis will enable you to become a Friend.

Friends receive an annual update detailing how their gift is making a difference, invitations to a range of special events across the year and an exclusive, beautiful Friends of the RSCDS pin badge as illustrated below.
