Join us on Sunday 9th July for two very special zoom sessions to launch our RSCDS Centenary publication:

Book 53 for 2023

97 branches, 236 dances, 137 trial groups of branches and affiliated groups – the search for the dances to include in RSCDS Book 53 has seen record numbers of members and dancers involved at every stage of the selection process to create Book 53 for 2023 celebrating the Centenary of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Thank you to every branch that submitted a dance; to all the groups that trialled sets of instructions; and to all of those that have since recorded the dance videos. Book53 would not have been possible without every one of you.

Now, we want to share the content with all of you in our special Book 53 Launch Zoom Sessions.

  • The dances, the music, the photographs, the people and the places

  • The new recordings

  • The videos from branches and dancers around the world

The Membership Services Committee will take you through the 18-month process that has led up to publication of a bumper volume, excitingly share musical snippets from the two brand new recordings, showcase the dance videos from around the world as well as being joined by those that have made been involved in creating Book 53 content.

The book and CDs will be available for purchase online from Sunday 9th July and are available to pre-order now. Head to our shop now:

We look forward to seeing you there!
