Healing Arts Scotland

RSCDS Summer School 2024

This August, join us as we take part in the Healing Arts Scotland festival, a weeklong celebration of fantastic events taking place throughout Scotland, highlighting the joy they bring to those who take part, and their importance to the nation’s physical, mental and social health.

Healing Arts Scotland is the first ever countrywide Healing Arts Week, happening all across Scotland from 19th - 23rd August, led by Scottish Ballet and the Jameel Arts & Health Lab in collaboration with the World Health Organization.

Edinburgh - 12 Coates Crescent

On Monday 19th and Friday 23rd August, we will be offering an enlightening presentation on how Scottish country dancing can improve physical health and lift the spirits! This fun and engaging form of dance is suitable for all ages, offering a combination of exercise and cognitive stimulation in a uniquely social setting.

On Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd August, those brand-new to Scottish country dancing can join us for a free taster class to whet the appetite!
