Book 54 – pre-order your copy now
Pre-orders are now open for RSCDS Book 54, to be released on 15th July. This collection of 18 Scottish country dances features six dances from branches marking their centenaries and 12 additional dances selected from the pool considered for Book 53, together with tunes selected and, in some cases, specially composed for the book. Neil Galloway and his band have recorded a bumper album of music, which will also be available to download from iTunes and Amazon music from July. Those attending St Andrews Summer School will be able to collect their pre-orders on arrival, and copies are also being sent to July/August summer and winter schools around the world.
Launch webinars will be held on Sunday 29th June to introduce the book and recording – watch this space for further information.

Membership Services Committee will be publishing RSCDS Book 54 in July 2025, to coincide with the start of this year’s Summer School.
The new book will comprise 18 dances, with an accompanying double CD, and includes further dances that were well-received in the selection exercise that led to Book 53. Further information will be shared over the next few months, including details of planned launch events. Current plans are to have both physical and digital versions available at launch. Watch this space!
The new book will feature heavily at Summer School, with classes at the appropriate levels targeting the new dances, and further opportunities planned for discussion and to learn more about the book. Do come along to learn the dances, and take advantage of the early bird and Branch group discounts!
