The Healing Power of Dance Symposium

RSCDS Dancers dancing at an event

Limited Number of Spaces for RSCDS Members

We are delighted to be partnering with Edinburgh University to bring a dynamic event exploring the link between dance and human flourishing. Spaces are very limited so we recommend early booking.

A day of presentations and talks to discover and discuss the biopsychosocial benefits of dance. By invitation only as places are limited, the symposium is free but booking necessary. There are options for in person and online attendance. The presenters are from The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society; Dance Base, Scotland's National Centre for Dance; Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health, University of Canterbury Christchurch; Royal Conservatoire Scotland and The University of Edinburgh.

The evening day concludes with Ceilidh+ an evening of social dancing at King’s Hall Edinburgh.
