Branch profile

The Clackmannanshire Branch class run from October to March. During the summer we have weekly dances in Alva with live bands, and we also organise an Annual Dance.

The class, which starts on October 1st., meets on Thursday evenings in the Burnside Hall, East Burnside, Dollar between 7.30 and 8.45 pm. It will run until December 10th and then break until January 7th. when it will run until March 18th. The class has live music and a teacher, it costs £6 a session, but the first one is free. The Annual Dance for 2026 will be held on Friday 1st. May in Sauchie Hall, Sauchie FK10 3EA, dancing to Frank Thompson and his Band. We will also hold a joint dance with the Falkirk Branch in the Dobbie Hall in Larbert, FK5 4BLon May 29th. this year. Both start at 7.30 p.m.

This year's Alva Dances, to be held at the Cochrane Hall in Alva FK12 5LJ , will start on June 11th and run every Thursday until 20th August, except for July 9th when Alva holds its Games. We have a great line-up of bands, and dances, so come and join the fun!

.The Clackmannanshire Branch will be 100 years old in 2027- and we would love to recruit more dancers living in or near the wee county to help us plan a suitable celebration. Contacts as above even if you don't need the weekly winter classes.
