Welcome to Toronto, a city where we love to dance. From September to May, with more than a dozen social groups spread across the Greater Toronto Area, you can find somewhere to dance every night of the week (Monday to Friday). Once a month, on a Saturday night, the social groups and any other interested dancers join together for our Monthly Dance to live music. Throughout the year, we also hold numerous special events: formal and semi-formal balls, ceilidhs and workshops. In June, we gather together and invite newcomers to join us on Tuesday evenings to dance to live music in one of the city’s most beautiful parks.
With classes available for a range of abilities and ages, we offer something for everyone. Start when you are four or start when you are seventy-four (or any age in between), and then keep on dancing for the rest of your life. Scottish country dance is an enjoyable way to stay in shape both physically and mentally and is a great way to meet new people.
