Dundee Centenary Autumn Dance

RSCDS Dundee Branch Autumn Dance

Dundee continued its Centenary Celebrations with an Autumn Dance at the Morgan Academy in Dundee on the evening of Saturday 11th October. Over 60 dancers came from as far afield as Clackmannanshire and Dunfermline to Aberdeen and Perth to dance to the music of Sandy Nixon's Scottish Dance Band. The focus of the programme was on dances with a local connection and included 'The Den o' Mains', 'James Senior of St Andrews' and 'Miss Dow's Strathspey', together with 'The Dundee Centenary Strathspey' which was devised to celebrate the Branch's Centenary. Tea and homemade cupcakes were enjoyed at the interval.
