Virtual Festival 2020!

Congratulations to Virtual Festival winners Moscow Branch and Lyon Branch for their entries! Moscow Branch Deer O Dale group won the Under-16 category with their entry “The Scots and the Vikings” and the in the Mixed Ages category, the popular vote went to Lyon Branch.
 

The 2020 Virtual Festival invited everyone to enjoy 'A Scottish Celebration'! Nine groups faced the challenge of filming a dance video '2020 style'. The results are heart-warming and entertaining, funny and imaginative - thanks to everyone who participated in producing the videos, either in front of or behind the camera.

All groups faced two questions: "How do we dance while keeping the physical distance? And: how to meet where indoor activities are difficult?" The answers every group found are quite diverse. Some used larger sets, some fewer people, some wear masks, some gloves, some 'touch' via other equipment. A few of the videos were produced by remarkably tech-savvy people, which leads to intriguing results: expect ghostly appearances, light and shadow and mysterious beaming experiences. Speaking of beaming: some entries were filmed outside, and take us from the woods to the city.
