Auckland-Northland Region host centenary dance

Auckland-Northland Region

The Auckland-Northland Region of the RSCDS New Zealand Branch held its annual formal event for 2023 on 30th September in the form of a dinner and dance to participate in the RSCDS Centenary and we danced through the decades plus some New Zealand dances.  The music from a band led by Aileen Logie carried the dancers through the night.

A 100th anniversary cake (prepared by Elaine Goldthorpe - including one section gluten-free) was cut by Region President and grand-daughters of dancers.

A special feature of the evening was the inclusion in the assembled crowd of four set of grandparents and grand-daughters plus several other mothers and daughters.
