Chester Folk Festival 2024

Chester Folk Festival

Members of the RSCDS Cheshire Branch participated in the 2024 Chester Folk Festival, held in the village of Kelsall on 25th and 26th May.

Ably led by one of the Branch Teachers, Trish Reid, the team held a Scottish country dancing workshop.  As well as dancing a number of fairly simple dances with the attendees, a team from the Branch demonstrated three dances:

The Luckenbooth Brooch

Portencaple Oak and

The Whistling Wind.

We circulated information about our weekly classes and hope that we may have, at least, one new dancer in September!
