DST - Orange County's new recruits

Orange County RSCDS

Edie Archibald from Orange County Branch in Southern California got in touch with an update on their Branch activities.

'We are happy to announce that we are continuing with our in person weekly classes, monthly branch dances and community demonstrations.  We recently gave two demonstrations, one at an open air festival called Scotoberfest ( in October) and another at an indoor setting called the Friendship Festival.  As a bonus, we were able to recruit a couple of new beginner dancers from these demos.  In December we held our annual Christmas Ball, where many dancers came dressed in festive holiday attire including hats, masks and kilts.  Our next big event is the famous Burns Ball with live music, food, speeches, marches, whisky and lots and lots of dancing.  It is one of our best events and should be a great evening for all of us!'

Thanks for the update Edie, and we hope future events are a great success too. Don't forget to send us your good news stories to lyndsay.walker@rscds.org
