DST - Primary school dance The Flying Scotsman

Newington Primary School dance The Flying Scotsman

Pupils at Newington Primary in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway came together to dance The Flying Scotsman in their playground. Prompted by Jigs and Reels, each year all children from P1 - P7 take part in a block of social dancing as part of their P.E. classes. Using these skills, the school decided to celebrate the centenary of Flying Scotsman first entering service and the centenary of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
