Teacher Lisa Ferrie tells us about Timmergreens Primary School's recent Bronze Accreditation:
"Timmergreens Primary have been working towards their Bronze Accreditation. Prior to Covid 19 and all its restrictions, we had set up a family dancing club in school, and hosted a Ceilidh for all families and friends. We missed these sessions so were eager to get back to dancing. Initially, primaries 1-4 took part, which totalled 97 pupils. Everyone really enjoyed the sessions and due to Covid 19 restrictions most of these took place outdoors (in the Winter months!).

We are incredibly fortunate to have made excellent links with Lorna Valentine of the East Angus Branch and her team of dance helpers, who showed amazing enthusiasm and a talent for dodging puddles as well as Scottish dance! This term all of our classes are learning about Scotland, it’s history and our local area. This was a perfect opportunity for us to hold a whole school Scottish dance event, this is planned for 27th June 2022 and will be complete with a live Ceilidh band – we are all very excited!"
Congratulations to all involved at Timmergreens Primary School!
