The Jam-Jar Tea Dance

St Michael’s Scottish Country Dancing Club

St Michael’s Scottish Country Dancing Club

Drifts of vibrant flowers on the windowsills and the stage of the Davis Hall set the scene for a celebration on 14th July – The Jam-Jar Tea Dance - a summer afternoon of dancing, flowers, friendship and afternoon tea! Happy smiling faces, lots of laughter, delicious food brought by all, and really enjoyable dancing. It was extra-special as everyone brought along jam-jars of simple summer flowers which filled the hall and made the atmosphere quite special. It’s on our fixtures list now!  Thank you to Irene Stokes and Gary Duffield for capturing the moment in the photographs.

Our Charity Dance on 17th August had dancers from far and wide flying through the dances in aid of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Charity. Generous donations to the raffle, super selection of dances, beautiful flowers much admired, tasty food provided by dancers - everyone present always does their bit to make the evening flow along seemingly effortlessly. The photos taken by Tom and Irene Stokes say it all!
