Selkirk class heads to Bavaria

Selkirk Children's class

Twinned with a town in Bavaria, the Selkirk children's class is heading out to Plattling this July after being invited by their twin.

Eight children from the class with nine adults will be attending flying out from Edinburgh on Wednesday 17th July.  They will be providing some entertainment every day of their trip, starting with the Opening procession on Thursday evening within the town.  They will all be dressed in their tartan which will be quite a spectacular sight.  A piper and drummer will be accompanying them in the procession and an accordionist will be flying out with them.

The young dancers have been taking part in dress rehearsals and have a rehearsal coming up at a retirement complex later in June.  Fundraising for the trip has been in full swing, with the youngsters bag packing at a local supermarket.

Good luck to all! We look forward to hearing more about the trip!
