St Michael’s Scottish Country Dancing Club celebrates 40th

St Michael's SCDC 40th anniversary

There was laughter, exuberance and sheer enjoyment in the Davis Hall, West Camel, Somerset, as St Michael’s Scottish Country Dancing Club and friends celebrated 40 years of dancing. We danced 18 dances, the programme chosen by our members and incorporating old favourites and new soon-to-become-favourites. Our caller was Andrew White and the band Chris and Julie Dewhurst, all of whose professionalism, knowledge of dances and good humour made the evening one to remember with a smile. The hall was filled with flowers, balloons, banners, the food was provided by all attending, and we rounded off the event with superb celebration cake. We toasted the next 40 years, and still managed to complete the dances almost foot-perfect!
